HortiPro Digital Ballast

The first product in our new range of own brand products to be released, the Hortipro Digital Ballast is a cool and quiet running digital ballast that we have been testing extensively for the last two years.
 
As with all new products it had a few problems in the early days but the version we are now selling is an exceptionally well built, highly reliable ballast that will give you years of trouble free use. Whilst it doesn’t have the established brand name of the Lumateks or Lightwaves, it carries our own branding so if anything we have been extra cautious before releasing it onto the general market. It comes with our own two year absolutely no quibble guarantee, in the very unlikely event one goes down we aim to replace it the next day (excludes weekends!).
 
As with all digital ballasts it’s quiet running and very marginally more efficient than a standard ballast; it uses slightly less amps on start up and is significantly cooler in operation than any currently available standard ballast.
 
However, in line with our policy of not over-selling products we should point out that no digital ballast will improve your yields unless it draws a lot more current than a standard ballast (and therefore costs more to run). It probably won’t be long before digital ballasts cost roughly the same to buy as magnetic ballasts (this one comes quite close), but the decision to buy a digital ballast should always be about looking improve the quality of your equipment, not your plants.
