| Q: How noisy are these fans? |
If noise is an issue always go for the Low powered versions, they are all slightly quieter than their high powered equivalents. To give you an idea, a low powered 4 inch fan with standard ducting fitted with still be slightly too noisy to have in a room where you relax or sleep, although it's not unheard of for people to choose acoustic ducting packages, wrap the fan up in some insulating material and get the noise down to a level where you really can hardly hear it. The 5 inch low powered fan is also reasonably quiet, it's when you get into 6 inch fns and above in all sizes that you can expect to get a significant amount of noise. The trick is to use acoustic ducting and lot's of it, as long as you use this then you would not be able to hear any of the low powered fans we sell outside of the room or area they are being used in. If in doubt give us a call, we can normally work out which size fan will be suitable for your application over the phone. |
