One of our most popular and best selling products, Acoustic Ducting is used to reduce the noise made by ventilation fans in growrooms and industrial areas. It's made from a perforated inner core that's identical to our Standard Ducting but with lots of small holes punched in it - this is then wrapped in a layer of glass-fibre and sealed by another layer of aluminium foil. As the air travels down the inner core the sound is let out through the holes into the glass-fibre, which deadens the sound. In practice it reduces the noise of a fan by around 60%-80%, and is almost always used with fans of 150mm and above although all sizes of fans benefit from it's use. Very highly recommended - and now available in cost effective 5 metre boxes.

Frequently asked questions |
| Q: You claim a 60% - 80% reduction in noise, is this backed up by testing? |
No - it's based on our experiences of using the product. |
|
| Q: Does it stop breakout noise from the fan or just the noise of the air travelling down the ducting? |
Just the noise of air travelling down the ducting, if you want to make your fan as quiet as possible then you'll need to address fan breakout noise separately. This can be done by using an acoustic fan, or sealing the fan in some kind of enclosure. Please be aware that you will need to check with the manufacturer of the fan if there are any operational or health and safety issues before doing this. |
