Heat Shields

PowerPlant Heat Shields are an effective way to counter the hot-spots that are created by almost every grow light.

These Heat Shields simply slot underneath the lamp and redirect the concentrated patch of heat and light out towards the edges of your growing area, enabling lights to be moved slightly closer to the plants. This should help the light penetrate to the lower parts of the plant.

We quite like the Heat Shields and have found them to be particularly useful where height is an issue. Definitely worth trying to see if it benefits your setup and particularly so in grow tents with horizontal lamps.

PowerPlant Heat Shields fit all types of reflector and are available in two sizes – small, for 250W, 400W and 600W lamps, and large for 1000W lamps.
