Our entry level digital light kit has been put together to let you see the benefits of the digi ballasts – cooler running, lower start-up amps, soft-start technology – while keeping the financial investment at a reasonable level.

Despite rumours all over the internet, digital ballasts will not use a noticeably smaller amount of electricity – a 600W lamp still needs 600W - although they are slightly more efficient than compact ballasts.

The soft-start technology means no ‘spike’ of current which should reduce wear on lamps and increase their lifespan. They also run at a lower temperature than compacts so this will help you to avoid excess heat in your growing environment.

The ballast comes with a two-year no-quibble guarantee and a one year guarantee on the reflector and lamp. To be on the safe side we would recommend using these kits with a light controller.
