Perlite

Perlite is an expanded volcanic glass that is highly absorbent and works well as a media additive to increase water retention or as a growing media in its own right.

It is widely used in horticulture as it is inert and almost pH neutral as well as good at retaining water without becoming soggy. It is also free from disease, weeds and insects and will not decompose.

Our perlite is Silverperl Supercoarse Perlite graded from 2-5mm and with a rough finish to improve oxygenation. We recommend damping down the bag before use to minimise dust.

Available in either 30 litre or 100 litre bags.
