The market leaders in our opinion, Rhino Pro Filters are loaded with premium activated carbon to effectively control unwanted organic odours.

Rhino Filters were formerly known as Phat Filters but owing to legal disputes they ended up having to change their name. Apart from that, everything else is exactly the same – the same carbon, airflow rates and performance.

All carbon filters work by moving air over activated carbon – a charcoal derivative that has a massive surface area on a molecular level – which is extremely absorbent and therefore effective and removing unwanted smells.

Rhino use the Australian Tiwest RC412 activated carbon, widely agreed to be some of the best in the world for this purpose, which provides excellent filtration for at least two years and remains effective in both high and low humidity.

It is important with all fans and carbon filters to match the airflow rates of both, otherwise the odour control will not be as effective and the lifespan of both components can be dramatically reduced.
