Our organic range of products is a great way to cut the cost of buying expensive organic foods from supermarkets and really get the benefits of growing your own fruit and veg. Using organic fertilizer can be particularly satisfying for alternative gardeners as it debunks a lot of ‘grown in a lab’ comments by only using 100% organic nutrients to grow your crop. We have a dedicated range for organic growers that include additives to really make the most of your crop without compromising anyone who wishes to maintain a complete organic farming environment. The yields from using organic feeds are generally lower than those using their mineral counterparts but for many of our customers this is secondary compared to the satisfaction and sense of achievement.
Organics are available in both grow and bloom parts in the same way that the mineral feeds are, and many of the additives will often come from the same sources such as seaweed extract. However when using the organics it is important to remember that generally each batch of nutrient solution will have to be made up as required as it will start to break down after being mixed for 24 hours. As well as nutrients we also stock a range of organic soils and soil improvers such as the BioBizz Pre-Mix and worm casts – both of which can be added to soil before potting on to increase the amount of nutrition for plants contained in the substrate. There are also pre-fertilised soils such as the Plagron Batmix which contain bat guano for additional phosphorus, however these are generally unsuitable for seedlings and cuttings as the NPK levels are too high for young plants.
