Pest & Disease Control

Dealing with pest and disease problems is an unfortunate reality for all gardeners, and when there are fewer natural predators to tackle them it’s important to have the right tools to help with garden pest control. In this section we have a good insecticide range for killing spider mite, greenfly, whitefly, thrips, fungus gnat/sciarid fly and some great products for dealing with mould and mildew issues. The majority of our products are non-toxic and we offer several options for dealing with pests and diseases ranging from organic based non toxic pesticides such as Spray Safe through to the Fortefog Smoke Generator that cannot be used with plants in the grow room but is an incredibly effective and highly recommended way of clearing your growing environment at the end of a cycle. 

Plant Diseases

Another major concern for alternative gardeners can be the occurrence of plant diseases which often flourish in warm humid conditions and can devastate entire crops. As well as foliar sprays that can be applied to counter problems such as powdery mildew and mould, we also stock the Sulfume sulphur burner which has proven very effective at counteracting mould and also seems to offer some defence against spider mite. There are also various additives available to add to your nutrient solution and help build up a plant immunity to insects by stimulating alkaloid production and encouraging the development of a protective layer on the surface of the leaves.
