Canna Start

Canna Start combines macro and micronutrients into a one part nutrient for seedlings and rooted cuttings, joining Formulex and Vitalink with a baby grow feed.

The logic behind using a specific propagation nutrient instead of a weak veg feed is that when you reduce the strength of the NPK fertiliser, you are also reducing the trace elements (micronutrients) at a time when the plants needs them most.

Grow feeds also tend to be weighted towards nitrogen (N) instead of phosphorus and potassium (PK) although the latter two are important for root development.

However we would still recommend considering Vitalink Plantstart as propagation feed as it contains a good level of bio-nutrients, something lacking in both Canna and Formulex.
