About Root Products
Three ways to help roots
Stimulants such as Rhizotonic, Root Juice, Hesi Root Complex, Atami Rootbastic, BAC Root Stimulator, Dutchpro Take Root and Vitalink Rootstim are seaweed and vitamin based. Use them in the first weeks after cuttings root or seedlings are potted on, and again after every transplant.
Microbes such as Great White, Psycho Myco, Voodoo Juice, Ecothrive Biosys, Biobizz Microbes, Plant Magic Oldtimer Granules and Hydrotops Bactivator put mycorrhizal fungi and bacteria around the roots, where they extend the root's reach and crowd out pathogens. They do best in soil and coco.
Enzymes such as Cannazym, Sensizym, Hesi PowerZyme, Plant Magic Enzyme, House & Garden Multi Enzymes and Intense Runzyme break down dead root material into food and keep the medium clean, which matters most in coco and anywhere pots are reused.
Getting the most from them
Keep chlorine away from microbes: let tap water stand overnight or use a dechlorinator. Use stimulants at the dose on the label; more isn't better. Most growers run an enzyme product weekly through the whole cycle.
