Search Terms

Why does Google hide ~54% of spend? PMax (Performance Max) campaigns don't disclose every search term individually. Google only reveals terms that meet a minimum search volume threshold — anything below that threshold gets silently bucketed into "Total: Other search terms" in the export. This is a deliberate Google privacy policy, not a data extraction error. The hidden spend is confirmed by the CSV itself: it explicitly lists a "Total: Other search terms" row with the exact pound figure. There is no way to see which individual queries drove that spend — it is a genuine black box. The tables below show only the ~45–47% of spend that Google chooses to disclose.
Note on Search Local GB conversions: This campaign reports 140 total conversions but the average conversion value is only £20.73 (total £2,905 ÷ 140 conv). That is a strong signal that roughly 50–80 of those are phone calls — each counted at £1 — not product purchases. The "Calls from ads" goal fires when someone taps the phone number in the ad and counts the same as a sale in the Conversions column. Based on the value split, an estimated 60–90 are real purchases and 50–80 are calls, putting the true purchase CPA closer to £13–18 (not the headline £8.32).
